Camps
Teen Climbing Camps
Real camps with a published teen age band. Facts below were checked on each operator's page on October 13, 2026.
A camp is on this page only when the operator's own page names teenagers and climbing. Younger day camps stay in the gym and camp directory. Weeks and prices change. Use the source link before you pay a deposit.

Chockstone Smith Rock camps
Chockstone's Smith Rock page says the program has run teen climbing camps for over 20 years and has been AMGA accredited since 1999. The dates and tuition block lists an 11 day camp, June 21 to July 1, 2026, at $2,400 for ages 14 to 17, and a 7 day camp, July 12 to 18, 2026, at $1,450 for ages 13 to 17. The heading on that block says intermediate to advanced. Trip details say the maximum instructor to camper ratio is 1 to 6, often 1 to 4. A separate line on the page says 5 to 1. The page also says all necessary climbing gear is included, including shoes, harness, and helmet, and that tents and meals come from the camp kitchen.
Another block on the same page says no previous climbing experience is required. That wording sits next to day-guiding details such as half-day windows. Ask Chockstone which rules apply to the camp week. Phone 541-318-7170. Email [email protected]. The early $100 note on the page used a January 31, 2026 deadline.

Stone Mountain Adventures
Stone Mountain Adventures is a co-ed overnight camp for teenagers aged 12 to 16 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. The about page says it was founded in 1983, that sessions stay at or under 60 campers, and that counselors are over 21. Rock climbing is listed with water sports, riding, and other activities. It is not a climbing-only camp.
The Rock Climbing Masters page says the add-on is for campers who want to climb every day at the camp crag and wall, limited to 8 campers a session. Frequently asked questions
Which of these camps are only for teenagers?
Movement San Francisco and Movement Gowanus publish a separate teen camp for ages 13 to 17. Acadia RockPro II and III list ages 13 to 18. RockPro IV and Rock Master list ages 14 to 18. Utah Mountain Adventures lists ages 13 to 17. Stone Mountain Adventures enrolls ages 12 to 16.
Are the 2026 summer weeks still open?
This page was checked on October 13, 2026. The 2026 weeks at Gowanus, Acadia, Utah Mountain Adventures, Chockstone, and the dates printed for Stone Mountain's season have already passed or are last summer's listing. Movement San Francisco says teen summer dates are available in February 2027. Confirm the next season on each source page.
Is Stone Mountain Adventures a climbing camp?
Stone Mountain Adventures is a co-ed overnight camp for ages 12 to 16 with many activities, and rock climbing is one of them. The Rock Climbing Masters Program is an add-on capped at 8 campers who climb every day. Campers who skip Masters still climb during regular activity periods.
What should I compare before I pay?
Read the age band, the hours, whether shoes are included, and whether the week is day or overnight. Gym day camps and guided outdoor weeks are different products. The directory filter for camps and the summer camp week guide on this site cover the questions that apply to more than one operator.
Why are some famous gym camps missing?
A camp is listed here only when its own page names a teen age band and climbing. Programs published only for younger children stay on the gym and camp directory. If a gym adds a teen week later, the operator page is the place to confirm it.
