Privacy Policy
How this handbook site handles the information you send us and the scripts already on these pages.

YouthClimbing.com is a static handbook for parents of young climbers. It is operated by Hanok Ventures as a YouthClimbing property. This page describes the information that is collected when you read the site, send a message, or subscribe to The Belay. We do not sell that information.
Who we are
YouthClimbing.com publishes parent-facing guides. There are no user accounts, no paywall, and no checkout on this site. We do not publish a street address. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact form on the About page.
Information you choose to send
Most visits involve reading published pages only. If you write to us or subscribe, we receive what you type:
- Contact form. The About page has a form for your name, email, and message. Submissions are processed by Web3Forms so we can reply. We use that information only to answer you.
- The Belay newsletter. Email signups on the homepage, blog posts, and the newsletter page are processed by Beehiiv. Beehiiv sends a confirmation step and stores the address you give so we can send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from any email.
We do not ask for payment details, account passwords, or a child’s personal information on these forms.
Analytics, cookies, and other scripts
These pages load a small set of third-party scripts that are already on the live site. They can set cookies or similar identifiers and collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser details, and how you move through a page:
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-SLCGF7ZY80), loaded from Google Tag Manager / gtag.js, to understand which guides are read.
- Microsoft Clarity (project w2nff1nwu2), to review session analytics such as clicks and scroll behavior.
- Cloudflare Pages hosts the site. Like most hosts, it processes request data (for example IP address, user agent, and the URL requested) to deliver pages and keep the service running.
- Google Fonts loads the Lora and Source Sans 3 typefaces used in the site design.
- AvantLink loads an affiliate confirmation script on these pages. Some product links are affiliate links, as described in our affiliate disclosure. Following those links takes you to a merchant site with its own privacy policy.
A few guides include YouTube videos that play only after you click. If you play one, YouTube may set its own cookies and collect data under Google’s policies.
The light/dark theme control on this site is not stored as a cookie. It follows your browser preference on each visit unless you toggle it during that visit.

- To send The Belay if you subscribe
- To understand which pages are used and to keep the site working
How we share information
We share information with the processors named above so they can provide those services. We do not sell your contact details or newsletter address. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and the people who operate it.
Those processors have their own privacy policies. The ones used on this site today are Google (Analytics, Fonts, and YouTube when a video is played), Microsoft (Clarity), Cloudflare, Web3Forms, Beehiiv, and AvantLink.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept long enough to reply and follow up if needed. Newsletter addresses stay on Beehiiv until you unsubscribe or we close the list. Analytics and hosting logs are retained according to those providers’ settings and our need to operate the site.
Children
This handbook is written for parents and other adults. The kids’ pages are reading material. We do not knowingly collect a child’s personal information through the contact form or newsletter. If you believe a child submitted information here, use the About page contact form and we will delete it.
Your choices
- You do not have to fill out the contact form or subscribe to read the guides.
- You can unsubscribe from The Belay using the link in any newsletter email.
- You can block or clear cookies in your browser. Analytics and similar scripts may not work if you do.
- To ask us to correct or delete a message you sent, or to ask a question about this policy, use the About page contact form.
Changes
If we add a new form, script, or service that collects personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
